StomperNet’s “How to Double Your Traffic and Triple Your Profits” is their first video in their Going Natural 2.0 Series. I watched it in YouTube as the video on their site wouldn’t work on both FireFox and IE. The YouTube video is at http://youtube.com/watch?v=EWStBRljjRg.

The main lesson here is to be able to achieve a Double Listing in Google search results page (or SERPs). An example of which is the search for ‘nun chaku’ that shows a double listing for Wikipedia in the SERPs.

Google SERPs double listing example

StomperNet states that their eye-tracking tests (heatmap tests) indicate that a double listing results in 200% increase in clicks and that it is not hard to achieve a double listing if the steps below are followed.

  1. Check the title tag density (i.e. how many times the keyword or key phrase appears on the title tag) of a current page which appears on the SERPs. This is the primary page.
  2. Thereafter, check the keyword prominence (or position) in the title tag of the primary page.
  3. Check the on-page density of that keyword for that page. Aim for a 7 to 10% keyword density.
NOTE: You can use a tool like http://tools.seobook.com/general/keyword-density/ to check keyword density on a page.
  4. Create a new page. This will be the secondary page that’ll appear in the double listing.
  5. The title on the secondary page needs to be slightly different. The tag density and keyword prominence of the title tag needs to be either slightly less or slightly more. They recommend testing both versions because every keyword or key phrase is treated differently by Google depending on the number of competing pages in the SERPs.
  6. The content of the secondary page needs to have a keyword density of 7 to 10% but ensure that it is not an exact copy of the primary page.
  7. Exchange links between the primary and secondary page using the same anchor tag.
  8. Also ensure that the primary page links to a number of tertiary pages which in turn links back to the secondary page.
  9. Lastly, also get external links via a blog or article submission sites.

Are you lost yet? Actually, the method seems pretty simple and I want to try it out in one of my sites.

Caveat: Higher chances of achieving double listing if the page has a high PR (Page Rank) with active spider visits.
