The haze caused due to slash-and-burn farming in Indonesia is making the air really unhealthy here in Singapore. The National Environment Agency (NEA) reading of the Pollutants Standards Index (PSI) is 128 today and that is unhealthy level (see http://app.nea.gov.sg/psi/). When will this problem, if ever, will be resolved? I guess the farmers need education and also penalties but other Governments must put pressure on the Indonesian Government otherwise it will be worse.
