Paying some attention on the Beijing Olympic games may extend the knowledge you have about China.

I know the Tibetan issue is about politicizing the Olympics but the Chinese atrocities in Tibet are a reality and not a figment of imagination as I originally hail from a region that borders Tibet and have heard of first hand accounts of what people go through in Tibet without basic rights.
China now accuses countries of politicizing the Olympics but what about China boycotting the 1980 Olympics. Isn’t that a tad hypocritical?
