I really enjoyed the online book, Getting Real which is a collection of 90 odd essays on getting rid of the fluff and coming up with a lean and mean web application. However, the principles found in this book can be used in any aspect of our lives to make it real and simpler.


The folks at 37Signals have released this book (in HTML) for free (costs US$19.00 for the PDF version). It is a bit inconvenient to read online, so I printed out the pages one essay at a time. :-) I strongly recommend reading it.

I personally enjoyed Chapter 13 which is about promotion and creating a buzz without spending truckloads of money. I’ll come up with a more comprehensive summary/review when practical. Enjoy.
